REVEREND DR. WENDY KELLY-CARTER
Rev. Dr. Wendy J. Kelly-Carter was born in Harlem Hospital and remained a resident of Harlem for many years until 1984 when she moved to the Bronx. Dr. Kelly-Carter retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 years of service in 2009. She graduated with her Doctor of Ministry degree from New York Theological Seminary in May 2021. In 2008, she received her Master of Divinity degree from the same institution. She received her A.A.S. and B.S. degrees from SUNY Empire State College. She was licensed to preach in 2007 and ordained by Abyssinian Baptist Church in 2010. She served as an Associate Minister at Victory Baptist Church, Bronx, NewYork. She also served as an Associate Minister at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Harlem, New York, and served at the Greater Universal Baptist Church, Bronx, NY, as the Interim Pastor. Dr. Kelly-Carter is a member of numerous religious and community organizations and serves on several boards.​Dr. Kelly-Carter is community-minded and believes that the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19-20 is a must for the local church. She received her Community Chaplaincy certificate from the American Baptists Home Mission Societies in November 2021 and graduated from the Metropolitan Chapter NYS Chaplains Workers Task Force in May 2022. She is the President of District Eight National Alliance of Postal and Federal Employees. Dr. Kelly-Carter is the recipient of numerous awards from the National Alliance and community organizations.
